Since 1971, OOHNA has been the professional organization for registered nurses who provide occupational health care for Ontario's workers. We began as an affiliation of local groups of occupational health nurses, and in 1973 we formally incorporated as a non-profit organization. From the beginning, our association has been run entirely by and for the people it serves.
Today, we number more than 1100 members, proudly representing the vast majority of registered nurses who work in the occupational health field in Ontario. Local groups meet in most major towns and cities throughout the province. Many of our members have earned formal OHN certification; many others have earned their standing through personal experience and dedication to the profession.
Either way, you probably qualify for membership in OOHNA if you are a Registered Nurse holding a current licence to practise, and are now, or have been, employed in occupational health nursing.
A special membership rate is available for interested nurses who are active in related nursing fields and interested in occupational health nursing but are not currently working as Occupational Health Nurses.
A special rate is also offered for retired nurses who are no longer active in nursing.

Membership in The Ontario Occupational Health Nurses Association is for one year and expires December 30th of each year. Membership is also available at a pro-rated fee from July 1 - December 30th. Renewals are due December 31st.
